There comes a time when no matter how badly you want that parent, you have to realize that you never will get that parent.
The parent you imagined growing up in place of their presence, will almost always be better than the real one.
No matter how mad and hurt you are and no matter how much you try to explain how they hurt you, they won’t change to become the parent you want.
Even if your younger sibling gets the parent you always wanted, they’ll never be that for you.
